I have been thinking of what kind of soaps I want to experiment with. I want to try scents and flavors that are familiar to me from growing up and living in Alabama. So far here are some I have come up with.....
I also want to try some scents and flavors that I just plain like and hope others will enjoy. Here are some am thinking of....
Goat's milk and honey
Ginger and lemon
The butterfly bush in my backyard is in bloom. It's scent is flooding the whole yard. It will be one of the first I will try. Here is a picture of the bush taken today after a hard rain. (Notice the "river" in the background.)
Susan, Mother, Teacher, Early Interventionist, CLC, Doula, Family Herbalist, Student Midwife, and more
I have given birth to 10 children. Three of my children live with their father. My two oldest are adults now. I work as an Infant / Toddler Developmental Specialist with Early Intervention as a District Early Intervention Coordinator. My ultimate goal though is to become a DEM. I am currently studying to become a Midwife. I also provide in home breastfeeding support to families as a CLC (certified lactation counselor). I am also a Family Herbalist. I earned my graduate degree in Education (Infant / Toddler Development) while I had my 5th and 6th child. Now I am trying to slow things down and enjoy my journey through life as a mother and grandmother. I have many passions and learning to combine them all as I support my family financially is a worthy challenge. One day I hope to add PhD after my name. I may be 60 when that happens but that is OK.
