Supplies are here!
My soap supplies arrived yesterday. I have some goat's milk soap in the mold as you read this. I'll let you know how it turns out!

Soap mold find
As I was looking in the dollar store for some items to use in my soap experiments I came across this. It is actually a piece of trash. I believe some of the glasses for sale came in this tray. It looks like it will make a good soap mold. I'm going to try it at least.

Soap list
I have been thinking of what kind of soaps I want to experiment with. I want to try scents and flavors that are familiar to me from growing up and living in Alabama. So far here are some I have come up with.....
- Sweetgum
- Forest fern
- Buttermilk
- Gardenia
- Butterfly bush
- Black-eyed Susan
- Southern pine
- Trillium
- Goat's milk and honey
- Lavender
- Ginger and lemon

A new adventure
I am going to try my hand at making homemade soap. I am planning to tie the soaps into Alabama scenery or culture. Check in periodically to check out my next step.
