I did it! I made my first soap today. It's a goat milk, honey, and chamomile blend. It's not very pretty and it will probably fall apart but I enjoyed making it.
I have given birth to 10 children. And have 5 angel babies in Heaven. Three of my children live with their father. Dan is an adult and Annika and Connor are teenagers. The teenagers visit back and forth. My two oldest are adults now. And, I am a grandmother! I work as an Infant / Toddler Developmental Specialist with Early Intervention as a Special Instructor. My ultimate goal though is to become a DEM. I am currently studying to become a Midwife. I also provide in home breastfeeding support to families as a CLC (certified lactation counselor). I am also a Family Herbalist. I earned my graduate degree in Education (Infant / Toddler Development) while I had my 5th and 6th child. Now I am trying to slow things down and enjoy my journey through life as a mother and grandmother. I have many passions and learning to combine them all as I support my family financially is a worthy challenge. One day I hope to add PhD after my name. I may be 60 when that happens but that is OK. I am also a CNA (certified Nursing assistant) with Home Health, and make pizzas at night. In the least I work a lot and sleep little. Life is hard as a wife and mother but I will focus on my part of the whole....
Very nice, Susan! Congrats! I love goat's milk and honey soap. And the chamomile gives it a lovely natural look. Is it hand-milled?
ReplyDeleteI used a starter rebatch soap and I added the milk, honey, and herbs. We'll see how it works!
